Old TR himself laid the cornerstone of this magnificent arch in 1903. It served for years as the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Now it stands a few hundred yards from the crowded gift shop entrance road. While I was taking its picture, they were getting ready to repave the road through the arch so it may be back in use soon.
