Yellow Gas Caps

We encounter issues with misplaced fuel caps - those small yellow fuel caps are difficult to find and must be purchased along with new containers. These specialized anti-spill nozzles often release fuel into the water while refueling boats, so we opt for the traditional design instead. Traditional-style gas caps proved unresponsive to stuffed rags, plastic tape, and wine corks as potential solutions, leaving their storage compartments open was also ineffective for me, prompting me to use a free 3D modeling software called blender.org to create this custom gas cap. I experimented with it in the Blender program after several attempts and arrived at a functional design. This print-out utilizes PLA plastic, which seems adequate for our application given its ability to resist gasoline and diesel fuel without compromising their performance over an extended period of usage; I distinctly recall reading about possible venting or interaction issues between PLA plastic and certain chemicals during initial setup but haven't encountered any such complications after a year of utilizing this product.
