The Droid Ship "Ycaqt" emerges from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Update - 12/4/14 - Thicker fins have been added after an initial print revealed a few weak points, making it a bit too flimsy. Still, it prints well with raft and support in place, requiring some extra trim work afterward to bring out its full potential. To ensure everything stays intact, I've also tightened up loose meshes and given the model a thorough review using Netfabb. Initially designed to ferry significant amounts of cargo along shorter, more secure hyperspace lanes, Nerfworks aimed to revolutionize space transportation with the Ycaqt's capabilities. However, despite capable pilots at the helm, its brain simply lacks the strategic finesse that comes with being controlled by sentient captains. As a result, the droid frequently gets lost during hyperspace jumps, resulting in sometimes staggering delays – up to weeks or even months behind schedule. For 3D printing enthusiasts looking to bring the Ycaqt to life, note that it's created using Blender. Printing this model requires raft and supports, but it can be a challenging process, especially at scale. It's recommended that the model is printed at approximately 40mm along its longest axis (X by default) for an optimal 28mm gaming mini result, and perhaps scaled up in the future to emphasize the Ycaqt's design features even further.
