Upon creating this linear slide (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5625), I sought improvements. The original design presents challenges - the large piece is difficult to print flat and may warp. Additionally, it requires a fixed-size separation for smooth rods, limiting its versatility. Thus, this reinterpretation features a piece that holds a 608 bearing and provides stable threading onto a 5/16" rod. In combination with other things (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5678), it enables customizable linear slides for endoskeletal bots. To use, print multiple pieces, insert bearings, thread onto rods, add extra components, and celebrate your versatile slide!
