CONDITION The surface of the sculptured area has been sawn from the body of the lintel and has some weathering. DIMENSIONS 0.74 m / 0.64 m / 0.60 m / 0.05 m (swan) / 1.0 cm DESCRIPTION Bird Jaguar IV and Lady Mut Bahlam of Hiix Witz, a wife or companion of his from El Pajaral, Guatemala, are depicted on this lintel. She extracts blood from her tongue with a rope studded with thorns while he incises his genitals with a sharpened bone. This scene is likely part of a penitential rite to celebrate a birth, but the text does not provide a specific date and the initial passages are eroded, leaving it unclear.
