### YAWS - Yet Another Weather Shield - Toolbox - Version 3 There are numerous weather caps available for various sensors, both commercially and in the open source community. The sheer number has become overwhelming. The goal behind developing the weather cap was to design a structure that could accommodate as many options as possible, allowing users to combine individual components. In comparison to the previous version, the sensor chamber has been significantly enlarged. Two conical air vents have also been enlarged, ensuring that heat generated by direct sunlight is efficiently transported upwards (a 40 mm fan can be installed as an option). All housing parts are connected using 'self-tapping screws DIN 7981 TX stainless steel VA pan head 2.9 x 9.5 mm'. The sensor chamber can be equipped with insect screens at the top and bottom, secured by clamping rings that fix the two screens in place on the sensor chamber. The sensor holder places the sensor at the center of the sensor chamber, designed to accommodate sensors with different connections/designs and varying cable thicknesses (5 and 7 mm): 1x4 pin, 2x4 pin, 1x5 pin, and 1x7 pin. The supply cable is secured to the sensor holder using cable ties. The sensor holder itself can be easily removed from the housing by loosening a single fixing screw. Particular attention was given to integrating the weather cap within the 'OBO-Toolbox': https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4520450 All connections of the weather caps can be combined with OBO housings, allowing for direct attachment via M10 or M12 screw connectors. Since the screw connectors are hollow, users have the option to route cables out of the OBO housing. The same scheme was adopted for external angle clamps and mast attachments (26 mm diameter), enabling users to attach the 'YAWS weather cap' in various locations. For the 'STALL-Weatherman', multiple combinations of sensors and fastening options were created, along with a variety of assembly choices when combined with the 'OBO-Toolbox'. #### More details can be found here: [Github - 3D-Print YAWS](https://github.com/wolwin/WW-my3DP/tree/master/3DP_YAWS)
