Yawara stick - self-defence
thingiverse
The kubotan's bigger brother, Yawahra, has its roots in Feudal Japan, where Buddhist monks used Kongou, a symbolic object of great significance, to perfect their art. Today, the Yawara takes shape as one or two sturdy sticks protruding about an inch from each side of the hand, typically used in pairs to launch throws, shatter bones, and deliver precise pressure point strikes. In the 1940s, police officers adopted the yawara stick after Frank A. Matsuyama popularized it with his own version as early as 1937 or before.
