The Yashica MG-1 is a cost-effective camera that delivers excellent performance. However, its mercury-containing battery is no longer in production. Fortunately, an adapter is available to enable the use of a stack of four 1.5V alkaline batteries as a replacement for the discontinued 5.6V mercury battery. All you need besides this adapter are a spring from an old pen and the new batteries; instructions on how to use the adapter will be uploaded soon.
