YASH - Yet Another Spool Holder Why create another spool holder for 3D printers when there are already countless options available in various forms? The answer lies in the inspiration drawn from large companies that lay down massive cables, prompting me to design a holder where the spool sits atop movable rods. No adapter or multiple printouts are required; no manual adjustments need to be made when switching spools. Plus, the holder must be as simple as possible. This is exactly why I created YASH. To build it, you'll need just two additional components: 4x 608ZZ ball bearings, easily sourced from Aliexpress (https://bit.ly/2vatq4M) 2x linear rods in any length, ranging from 100mm to 320mm (tested) With these two elements, you'll have a simple and practical spool holder that accommodates every type of spool. I've personally tested it with 1kg spools, but feel free to share your experiences if you've used larger ones. One more feature: if desired, you can add M3 brass nuts to the underside. Why? You can screw them down onto your self/printer/case/table, ensuring a stable spool holder that won't wobble.
