YASH 2022, yet another filament spool holder
prusaprinters
Yet another filament spool holder. Simple, easy to use and - if I may say so - good looking. This is a semi-low profile spool holder with open design using a hexagon pattern. The spool holder has no settings or adjustments of any kind. Just put your spool on top and print! It can take spools up to 87mm in width and minimum diameter of around 160mm. Research shows about 96.4% of the spools on the market will fit nicely. If your spool is wider no sweat, we've got you covered. Just connect two holders together using the supplied connection plugs.Update 2022-02-13: two alternatives have been added:screw version: This version can be used with a short screw instead of a set of nuts and bolts. The holes for the screw are 3.5mm.glue version: This bar has a tighter fit (4mm vs 3.9mm) so you may need to sand it down a bit. After you succeeded getting it in position you can drop a bit of superglue in the slit to fix it in place (don't forget the rollers!).The 'glue’ side version has no screw/bolt hole. The bar can be pushed into the lower hexagon (look for slightly chamfered pocket) for an even cleaner look.Parts needed:4x 608 bearing4x M3 hex nut4x M3 1mm bolt with countersunk head (DIN 7991 / ISO 10642) or 4mm screw (see alternative bar)Parts to print:2x sides2x bars (normal or screw version)2x rollersThe connection plugs are optional.
