I'm a Damn Yankee, but that frugal streak in me revolts at tossing away filament spools from my 3D printing escapades. So, I whipped up this spool re-winder for my wife's crochet fixation. She loathes discovering knots halfway through a project - it's like hitting a roadblock. She also despises chasing her skeins around the room, only to have them disappear into thin air. And let's not forget the frustration of wrestling with tangled skein when there's barely enough left for the finishing touches. Now that I've got my 3D printing fix, she can focus on enjoying her hobby without these pesky problems getting in the way.
