Yardstick C270 Mount
thingiverse
I use a server rack cabinet as an enclosure and a cobra-hood style cooling duct that restricts my webcam view of my printer to certain angles. The nozzle can only be clearly seen from the front, but I don't have enough room inside the enclosure to mount a camera without taking up valuable bed space. My glass door lets me view the printer from the front with my camera, but I got tired of moving it every time I opened the door. My solution is to mount my camera on a rail made out of a cut-down yardstick that slides smoothly in and out of the cabinet door. The yardstick is held onto the door by strong magnets that I glued on securely. You could also use velcro or command strips, but I like the extra space the mount puts between the camera and the glass, giving it more room to swivel. This rig lets me easily slide my camera to any position I need; right, left, up or down. To use this camera mount, you will need to have Notune21's camera front and focusing dial installed so that you can screw your camera onto the mount securely.
