https://youtu.be/Y36ZM5orVgQ Updates added! Two layer spinner using 9 CDs (or DVDs), 2 arrow shafts, and some hot melt glue or whatever glue you have on hand. You need: 1 mount 2 hubs 1 washer 1 washer boss 8 ends I used 4 layers on top, bottom, and sides with 20% infill for my spinner. Cut one of the shafts as follows (unless you want to change the size): 4pcs 1.6" long (for the front hub) 4pcs 3" long (for the rear hub) 1pc 4" long (to mount the hubs to the base) Glue the shafts to the ends. One by one, glue them to the hubs at approximately an 18° angle. Make sure that you rotate the ends one way on one hub and the other way on the other hub. Glue the CDs (DVDs) into the ends. Glue the 4" shaft into the base so that it sticks out equally from each side. Glue a CD (DVD) to the washer with the boss. Glue (or pin) the washers onto each end of that shaft leaving just enough room for the hubs to turn freely. Put in on the uncut arrow shaft and get out of the way. It doesn't take much wind to make this thing rotate! Updates: Made some changes and additions: Added a washer with a Boss on it for keeping the front CD central (OctoCD Washer Boss). So now print one Washer and one Washer Boss. Decreased the size of the radius in the end to help insure that the CD is central (OctoCD End New replaces OctoCD End which I removed). Added an end for glueing two CDs together back to back so that you get the rainbow effect on both sides of the spinner (OctoCD End x2). If you want this effect, use 8 of these for ends instead. Be aware that you add 8 CDs to the spinner at a cost of extra weight.
