Yamaha YP-D6 Turntable Spindle Gear
prusaprinters
Modeled and tested on my YP-D6. It may fit other turntable models that use the same part. Fixes issues where the auto-return stops working because the gear failed entirely or is slipping on the spindle.Print at 0.15 layer height with 50% infill. Top and bottom layers should be minimum 0.6mm.The gear is designed to fit snugly on the spindle. The knurling should allow it to slide on with a tight interference fit. To install, remove the platter to gain access to the gear. Remove the old gear, clean the spindle to make sure it is free of oil and dirt. Press on the new gear with the boss-side down to ensure proper alignment. If tight you can try heating the part first in very hot (near boiling) water. Use a deep-well socket to help press it on firmly. Do not use too much force! If too tight, reprint and increase the x/y scaling slightly. Apply a small amount of lubricant suitable for your material, such as a thin lithium grease, to the gear teeth, being careful not to get any on the spindle.
