Yamaha Virago Fuel Pump Cover

Simple fuel pump cover. I uploaded a few versions for your choosing. A "Solid Cover" that is just 1 print, must be printed with supports. A Separated "Body" and "Cap" where you can print both individually and glue together. I also added 3 more "Body" designs. The Zip Tie Holes has holes so you can add a zip tie around the fuel line in case the mounting point breaks you won't lose the whole thing. The "Extended Body" versions have the extra 5mm behind the mounting bracket, these more closely resemble the original cover design, but are best suited to be printed upside down with the mounting bracket in the air. This is the 2nd/3rd/4th designs. The Body and Cap I have recently printed, glued together, and painted with great results. I have not done a durability test yet, but will update this when I have. I recommend printing the body upside down with the mounting bracket in the air. The ribs are 45 degrees and the bridge is small, any printer should print this fine. I did not use any supports when printing the body. Print the cap/top by itself with a higher resolution (.16) for a cleaner print due to the curvature. It will need supports, but the ugliness from them will be hidden once installed. I did not draw in any alignment pins figuring it just adds more supports and I had no issues lining the two parts up when glued together with super glue. I recommend PETG or a heat resistant filament. PLA WILL NOT WORK! I do not know how hot the cover gets, but it is near the head and open to the sun and elements. I hope to provide real world results within the next few months. I will update this description as it goes. I did add 1mm right below the top simply for a stronger top when printed separately. The mount may be a tight fit during installation due to clearance with the panel right behind it (as viewed from sitting on bike). I did remove about 5mm length from under the mount as made from stock, this is so it can be printed upright if you wish (this is only with the "Body" and "Solid Cover" designs). I modeled this from my own cover that had a broken mount, but the print fits up nicely on my 1994 XV1100. If this design gives you problems or issues please let me know. If you print it please leave a comment with your experience! If you plan to sell these please DO NOT without first reaching out to me. If you do not have a printer, please reach out and I can help, or most local libraries/friends will be happy to assist. Lastly, Ride Safe!
