I made a gearbox for the Yamaha Viper RC Snowmobile from scratch. This is what its used for: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3432547 It uses metal gears inside. The metal gearset from the 2wd ECX vehicles is what I had on hand, so I designed it around them. I will list the parts used down below. It goes together pretty easily. If you have one to use as a donor, you will need the metal gearset, it will not work with the plastic gear on the differential. It will however work with the hardened steel spur gears you can get for the ECX 2wd platforms. Smallest I've seen is the 81 tooth, from the stock 87 tooth. I use just the plastic stock one. After some initial testing, this isn't a work in progress. It may need a few tweaks if anything breaks, but so far so good. I did modify one part from the files that came from Daver18qc, the transmission mount. ECX9001 ECX1076 ECX1052 (or just a single M3 x 0.5mm washer, can be printed as its used as a shim) ECX1025 (or a 5mm X 18mm shaft will work) ECX1024B ECX1023 5 10x5x4mm bearings 1 15x10x4mm bearing 1 12x8x3.4mm bearing
