In the mid-80s, I came across a unique bike in a Japanese magazine, later identified as the Clubman 2 (1987.2). Its design inspired me greatly, and I still have that magazine today. I saw subsequent bikes like the Suzuki Goose 350 and Gilera 350/500 Saturno, with some sources claiming the Saturno was released before the Suzuki. The bikes shared striking similarities, all stemming from a concept by Mr. Naoto Hagiwara of Otani Motorsport Products. His original idea featured a Yamaha SR motor that raced in SOS class at Sugo Raceway. Emphasis was on lightness, weighing 106kg, and high cornering capabilities. The bike boasted adjustable steering angle and engine mounting for customization, with a replica frame weighing around 13.4lbs/6kg.
