Yamaha R6 Funnel
thingiverse
This is a redesigned oil funnel created originally by JonDanielsRacing for a '07-'13 Yamaha R6. A custom divider was added when I realized cleaning the funnel would be necessary if switching oils or applications. The divider enhanced the structural integrity of the funnel while allowing it to sit freely within the clutch case as oil was being added. It allows liquids to mix at the precise time they enter the bike, or an easier way to accomplish multiple refills on different oils and bike fluids. Can print in PLA or ABS. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Medium Infill: 30% Notes: Coming from the original design, simplification was needed to convert the mesh into a solid in order to use 123D. Print with the larger open end of the funnel on the build plate with the nozzle pointing straight up. The heated bed of the M2 gives you a perfectly smooth top surface post print. Any size scale of this print is possible as long as your machine accepts the dimensions. Post-Printing The post-print funnel came out with one problem, the supports generated by 123D design were stuck very deep within the inside contour of the funnel. They can be removed but it takes some time. I did not try printing without supports, however that option does seem possible due to the structure of the funnel. 17cm was a tad too tall for the Makerbot M2, as the tip of the funnel was sharp and not smooth. I ended up heating a knife with a butane torch to cut off the sharp end of the funnel.
