YAMAHA Mounting plate for Electronic Drums
thingiverse
My school's YAMAHA 502 Electronic Drum Kit was missing a mounting plate, so I created this sturdy replacement on my own. Honestly, it puzzles me how important parts like these can go missing in the first place - perhaps it's due to careless handling or poor storage at our all-boys school where I teach. This custom-made plate is designed to be incredibly durable and resistant to damage. The mounting holes are precisely 60mm apart, and they're clearance holes for M5 bolts, ensuring a snug fit every time. Made from solid 8mm x 56mm x 100mm material, this plate can withstand even the toughest conditions. I opted for a diameter of 22mm on the post to provide maximum stability, and its total height comes in at 74.2mm - just slightly longer than the original. This design makes it suitable not only for YAMAHA's 502 model but also other electronic drum kits from the same brand. To infill the plate, I went with a high density of 95% (perhaps overkill), using a 0.2mm layer thickness. The print time was around 8 hours, and I chose to use PLA Black Silk material on my ANYCUBIC 4 Pro Max for a professional finish.
