Yamaha Kill Switch
thingiverse
Replacement for Dual Engine kill switch from Yamaha. Requires 2 micro switches such as 1C25. Will activate the switch upon insertion of the safety lanyard, so when the lanyard is in place ignition to engine is permitted, and if lanyard is pulled during engine operation, when correctly wired, it will stop engine. The dual motor Yamaha version of this is $80. The mechanism is very simple, when the plunger is pulled up, the buttons of the micro switch are pressed, and when the lanyard is not in place the spring of the switch, and gravity, will allow the buttons to extend. I've been foolish enough to use it in my boat, at my own risk. I expect it to work correctly, but there are NO warranties that it will work. Test often and be ready to assume your own risk. Happy to share, but NOT RESPONSIBLE for any outcome. If it does not operate as expected, consequences could include death, or worse.
