Yamaha Fazer 600 ('98-'02) headstock bearing nut socket

thingiverse

This custom socket fits the splined nuts on the head stock bearing top cap of Yamaha Fazer 600 motorcycles from 1998 to 2002. These nuts are located just below the top triple clamp, and the socket enables users to employ a 32mm socket and torque wrench to precisely adjust the play in the head-stock bearings. It may also work with other bikes; please let us know if you try it successfully. Printed in PLA at a 100um layer height, 1mm wall thickness, and 40% infill, the socket was barely strong enough, correctly torquing up the bearings to their full preload of 57Nm, but broke apart upon removal. With higher infill or stronger materials, it should be possible to print a reusable one.
