Yamaha DTX900 Drum Module Mount
pinshape
Yamaha's top-of-the-line DTX900 module weighs a hefty 3.6kg, requiring a sturdy mount to prevent it from toppling over. To avoid this, I opted for a free-standing cymbal stand with tilt capabilities instead of the fixed post that comes included. The swivel parts on this stand feature matching radial ridges at 15-degree intervals to securely hold the module in place. The post itself measures 19mm in diameter and is made from high-strength PolyMax PLA material, which was printed using a PolyMakr 3D printer at a temperature of 190C with a layer thickness of 0.3mm. To maximize strength, I recommend printing the post horizontally so that the layers run parallel to its length. To secure the module in place, you'll need an M6 x 25 hex-head bolt, which fits snugly into the thumbscrew provided.
