YAHH - Yet Another Headphone Hanger

<p>After looking through a wide range of really clever, well designed headphone hangers from other folks I determined what the world needed was my hyper-specific, overly complicated interpretation of a headphone hanger.</p> <p>So here it is? <em>Awkward Shrug</em></p> <p>This one is designed around an eccentric cam which adds clamping force to the edge of the surface. Unfortunately this also means that the range it can accommodate is pretty limited versus, say, a screw clamp design.</p> <p>What I personally liked about this design is that it's very quick and easy to engage or release the clamp and it holds very well in my application of it. Also, by clamping to the bottom of the surface it should minimize the chances of damage to the top of your desk, table, or workbench.</p> <p>A couple other things of note; I designed it to hang the headphones slightly under the desk instead of right out in the front which kind of helps with knee clearance. There's also a cord guide in the back which can help with keeping the cable out of the way.</p> <p>I also added the recessed holes on the fixed clamping surface where some non-skid pads can be added (<a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CNQC695">https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CNQC695</a>). You could also add thicker pads here to accommodate thinner edges.</p> <p>For reference, I designed this hanger to clamp on to the edge of an IKEA Gerton table top that serves as my desk. So the flattened lobe cam fits and adds the right amount of clamping force for that (the Gerton is roughly 28mm thick).</p> <p>The second cam lever uploaded will accommodate slightly thinner edges, but only by a couple millimeters.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Both version of the cam lever can print just fine on their side without supports. I used the .2mm "quality" default, with 100% fill.</p> <p>The cam pin print on the end without supports, but it's probably a good idea to add a brim. I personally used the .2mm default, with 100% fill.</p> <p>The hanger itself prints on it's side with the stylized "A" facing up. It will need supports in that center cutout. This is kind of a pain, but it helps make sure that everything fits once the support material is removed.</p>
