YAHexagonalHeatedBedHolder - "mind the solder joints" version
thingiverse
This is Yet Another Modified Hexagonal Heated Bed Clamp, with a clever design twist. I've taken into account the fact that some versions of hexagonal heated beds have solder plates close to mounting holes or need components soldered in the center of the sides, making standard mounts useless. This version cleverly utilizes free vertices holes to hold the bed in place; on top of these holes, a triangle securely holds glass firmly. You'll require printing the following essential pieces: * 4 Glass Clamps * 4 Bed Clamps (choose between M3x15 and M3x20 variants) To attach supports to aluminum beams, you'll need the following components: * 4 M3x15 / M3x20 screws * 4 reasonably short M3 screws * 4 M3 bolts * 4 slightly larger washers to prevent bolt slippage out of aluminum beams Refer to the post-printing section for additional detailed instructions. Post-Printing Instructions 1. Assemble all pieces carefully. 2. Push an M3 bolt into its designated slot under the bed clamp. 3. Insert the M3x15/M3x20 screw into the wider hole on the bed clamp. 4. If you've chosen the M3x20 variant, pass the screw through the separated slimmer squared piece; this simplifies printing. 5. Add a washer and bolt onto the screw. The final assembly should resemble the attached image. To install the bed: 1. Slide supports inside aluminum beams. 2. Screw triangle-shaped glass clamps into smaller holes (with bolts on underside), through bed holes. Refer to the accompanying picture for a visual representation of this step-by-step process.
