Yahboom RGB Cooling Hat + OLED Raspberry Pi 4 Case
thingiverse
This is a pretty simple little case for a Raspberry Pi 4 with the Yahboom RGB Cooling Hat. This hat features a 40mm x 10mm fan, three addressable RGB LEDs, and a tiny OLED screen that can show several different bits of information about the Pi's status - such as its temperature, its RAM usage, it CPU usage, and its local IP address. There's a lengthy tutorial on yahboom's website for making these features work and showing optional features. As a Raspbian noob, I found these tutorials quite useful. I tested this unit with a Pi 4 1gb model (my temperature testing mule) overclocked to 2ghz I found the temperature was stable at 62 degrees - which is mot exactly great, but that was overclocked and stressed out on all 4 cores for 20 minutes. It's no Ice Tower, but it's fuctional and useful for cooling - especially if the color changing LEDs are useful for you in some way (they can be programmed to change color depending on other factors such as the Pi's temperature). This case is compatible with my Pi SSD rails or VESA mounts (see my other designs). The case is assembled with four m3 x 8mm screws and two #18 x 5/8" brads for the hinge pin. Other sizes of hing pins may work if you drill the holes out to fit. The Pi and hat are not attached to the case with any fasteners. They are simply held captive by some protrusions inside the case and retained by the hinged lid. Removal of the Pi can be accomplished by removing two screws and flipping the top of the case open. The SD card is accessible when the Pi is in the case between the hinges. The case can be printed without any support material, parts will need to reoriented in your slicer.
