Yaesu VX-2R belt clip
thingiverse
I damaged the belt clip on my VX-2R radio, so I decided to fabricate a replacement instead of ordering one. Making one myself gave me control over its design and ensured it would fit perfectly. The new clip isn't as streamlined as the original, but it works flawlessly and takes only 20 minutes or so to print another one if needed. In the images, the old clip is on the right and the new one is on the left, allowing you to compare their designs. You can also see how the new clip attaches to the radio. When printing the new belt clip, I recommend using five shells all around and 20% infill. This ensures that the critical belt part will be solid (it's only ten layers thick at 0.3mm) while allowing the larger upper component to have a lighter infill density.
