Yaesu FTM-6000 Control Head Base
thingiverse
I created this to mount the control head of a Yaesu FTM-6000 to the dash of my 2016 RAM 1500 truck just to the right of the steering column. The mount is angled up at 15 degrees and provides a flat surface with to which I could adhere industrial strength Velcro. There is a countersunk hole in the rear of the baseplate to screw the baseplate to the radio control head using an M6x16 flathead screw. There are openings on the left side for the cable to exit either straight to the left or to down vertically. This will print without supports although there is a bit of bridging droop as the printhead crosses the overhangs of the cable exits. These aren't visible and don't affect the cable exits. The test prints were in PLA but the final was in ABS to make it a bit more heat resistant. The 3mf file is included if someone whishes to create other configurations such as the angle or cable exits.
