I'm excited to showcase my first "table legs" design, carefully crafted to securely hold my Yaesu FT-817 and its paired LDG Z-817 tuner together in one neat package. With just rubber bands as a temporary holding mechanism, the LDG is perfectly positioned on top of the 817, ensuring it doesn't slip or slide off. This innovative setup marks the beginning of a "man pack" for this rig, making it easy to quickly assemble and set up in the park on a park bench. As I experimented with OpenSCAD for the very first time, I was eager to learn its capabilities and test my design skills. Overall, I'm thrilled with the outcome – a sturdy unit that precisely meets my needs and expectations. With any luck, it will serve others equally well. To replicate this "table legs" design, simply print two left legs and two right legs for a complete set.
