This model was crafted by a talented group of young archaeologists from the Moors & Valleys branch of the Young Archaeologists' Club, located in North Yorkshire. The YAC is a dynamic national club in the UK run by the Council for British Archaeology, and is open to all young people aged 8-16 who share a passion for heritage and archaeology. This month we dove into the world of photogrammetry and discovered its immense value for archaeologists, particularly as it enables them to record features swiftly and efficiently. We then put our newfound skills to the test, and these models are the impressive results. They showcase how well everyone grasped this technique. Now that we've mastered photogrammetry, we can make valuable contributions to the archaeological record whenever we visit sites or stumble upon archaeology in everyday life.
