The interlocking ball octahedron puzzle is a sturdy creation that can withstand being tossed around without ever falling apart. Crafted from four straightforward pieces - one Y-shaped piece and three U-shaped ones - this puzzle requires the pieces to flex slightly as they come together. Unfortunately, a test print made from PLA material proved too brittle to work, resulting in failure. However, a second attempt using PETG material was successful, making it the recommended choice for building this model. When assembling the puzzle, it may seem confusing at first, but with practice, you'll soon find it's not as challenging as you thought. The key is to avoid forcing the pieces together, which can cause them to break. To assemble the puzzle with minimal force, all three U-shaped pieces need to be moved simultaneously. Conversely, using the same motion in reverse will easily disassemble the puzzle.
