"Y" Split for 1/2 inch conduit
thingiverse
Sometimes you feel like a split, sometimes you don't. This is a "Y"-Split for 1/2 inch conduit that caught my eye. I'm not entirely sure why anyone would use this design, but it's an interesting concept nonetheless. Offset: 15mm Angle: 30 degrees Run Length: 62mm Overall length: 94mm Finished weight: 29.1 grams The "straight" sections on either end are relatively short, measuring only 16mm in length. Traditional 1/2 inch conduit fittings typically have a depth of 22.5mm, while the outside diameter of standard 1/2 PVC conduit is supposed to be 21.33mm. Given the expansion and shrinkage inherent in the printing process, as well as the ribbed texture of 3D printed parts, I found that an inside diameter of 22mm was necessary for the socket end to fit snugly over a standard conduit. If your printed part comes out slightly loose, try increasing your extrusion factor by a couple of percent. Conversely, if it's too tight, reduce your extrusion factor accordingly. This design is actually a variation on my previous "S" bend for 1/2 inch conduit: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2958303
