Y Smoke splitter
thingiverse
I'm designing a Y splitter that will improve smoke distribution by allowing two pipe tubes to be attached at different locations. The holes in my design are 6.3mm in diameter, but after printing they end up being only 5.23mm due to the shrinkage of the filament. My tube has a diameter of 6.25mm and is designed as a push fit, so the slight decrease in hole size doesn't affect it. If you're using a different tube that's also a push fit but still having issues, try gently heating the area around the hole with a heat source to soften the filament, then carefully insert the tube into place. When I first printed my Y splitter, I noticed that forcing the tube into the hole while it was still warm caused the hole to expand slightly.
