Y-Rod Mount for Original Prusa i3 Mk 3

I believe the Original Prusa i3 Mk 3 could benefit from upgraded Y Rod mountings, particularly when compared to the standard "clip-in and cable tie down" setup. In response, I created these custom mounts. The top section of each mount has to be relatively slender in order for the Y Carriage to smoothly glide over it, yet there is still ample space available with my design, ensuring that the Y Rods are securely positioned and held firmly in place. These mounts were printed using Prusa Orange PETG filament. To assemble them properly, print the STL file with the two smaller holes facing upwards first. Next, use a 8mm drill bit to carefully ream out each mount's main hole by hand. This will allow the mounts to easily slide onto the rods, securing them in their desired position and eliminating any possibility of movement.
