Y Belt Attachment - Prusa i3
thingiverse
This is a redesigned Prusa i3 Y belt fixing point situated below the sliding carriage. It fits perfectly with GT2 belts, featuring a one-screw fixing clamp that secures the belt in place on both sides. I prefer to install nuts within the internal housing of the components for a cleaner installation setup. Therefore, you need to insert a pause in the G-code. Instructions As demonstrated in the pictures, I locate the last opened layer of nuts housing in the preview and then write an "@"pause command in the g-code with a Z axis rise to free up the part. This needs to be done twice: once for each side nut, taking into consideration that the middle nut has a raised position requiring reinsertion. When the printer reaches the first pause command, it stops automatically and raises the Z axis. You can then insert the side nuts and manually restart the printing process. After a few layers have been printed, the second pause is activated to allow for the insertion of the middle nut. Upon exit from pause, let the printer continue with the rest of the job.
