Y-bed slider for Geeetech i3 Pro B with 8mm Acrylic frame
thingiverse
In 2018 I bought a Geeetech i3 Pro B printer kit with an 8mm Acrylic frame. Attempts to use this printer have consistently produced unreliable results, so I set out to enhance it (check my other projects for successful enhancements). This particular improvement effort eliminates the LM8UU linear bearings under the bed, which are part of the Y-axis movement, and replaces them with something that is quieter and allows me to remove the bed easily (after detaching the Y-axis belt) when needed. I don't yet know the lifespan of this component (of which you need 4), but so far it's working great for me. Printer Settings Printer: Geeetech i3 Pro B with an 8mm Acrylic frame Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 50% Notes: Print with a material that has low friction and slides easily on steel. I used Taulman PCTPE (which is a Nylon composite) for this, but Igus iglidur or other materials intended for bushings may be more suitable.
