Y Axis Upgrade FLSUN Prusa
thingiverse
This is a total overhaul of the Y-Axis for the FLSUN Prusa Printer. It eliminates all acrylic components in the Y-Axis and significantly boosts structural integrity. The design also adjusts the belt orientation. The redesign consists of: Rod supports - Print four of these, ensuring they are printed upright to facilitate smooth rod insertion. Secure rods with zip ties. Pulley mount - A straightforward fixed pulley mount is included. Belt Holder/Tensioner - This component is a remix of a pre-existing design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:548458). It has two parts and features zip tie holes, although they are not functional. Instead, secure the belt to itself at its ends using these holes. Utilize 40mm M3 screws from the original belt holder for tensioning purposes. During installation, fasten the belt loosely and tighten it using these screws to achieve optimal tension. This process can be labor-intensive, but results in a reliable performance once completed. A long hex screwdriver proves useful during this process. Nema17 Motor Mount - This component is a remix of an existing design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1612992). My version includes various modifications and accommodates limit switch mounting. Note: Due to the rods not spanning the entire length of the printer's frame, you will need to relocate one of the beams. Refer to photos for guidance on this process. This adjustment does not affect the printer's movement range.
