Y-Axis Stabilizer for Solidoodle 3

Y-Axis Stabilizer for Solidoodle 3

thingiverse

This y-axis stabilization kit is designed for Solidoodle 3 printers, which often experience nozzle drag-induced vibrations in the y-axis, especially at the build platform's end. The problem is widespread among various printers. This kit solves it using three non-printed components: a carbon fiber (or aluminum) rod measuring 4mm and two 11mm bearings. Modifications can be made to suit other printer parts. The kit includes STL files for "Clamps" and "BearingHolder", which need to be printed once and twice, respectively. Other required items are 2 - prints of "Bearing Holders", 1 - print of "Clamps", 1 - 4mm Carbon Fiber Rod, and 2 - 11mm/5mm/4mm bearings, all available at hobby or RC shops. Installation steps involve fitting the clamps on the rod, cutting it to size, attaching bearings and holders with glue, ensuring proper alignment, and finally slotting the rig into the printer for printing.
