Y Axis "Heated Bed" Cable mount for Geeetech I3 Pro
thingiverse
This is a quick and dirty way for me to secure the wires for the heated bed to the back side of the printer. My intent with this design is that it's only temporary. The wiring for the bed, IMO, needs some kind of strain relief where the heater wires exit the PCB. I have a cool design for vertically pivoting arm that includes strain relief, however, it will require some drilling on the acrylic base plate for the bed. I'm just not ready to do that at the moment, so this is what I'm doing with it for now. It's entirely possible that I'll leave this model in place until the joints for the heater melt and the wires fall off. :) We'll see... The model attaches with the two screws that attach the Y motor assembly to the back of the printer. Per instruction, the motor attaches with two M3 X 16mm screws. Even without the additional 1mm of travel required by this model, the 16mm screws barely secured the motor with a single thread. The kit had some extra M3 X20mm screws, so I'm using two of those. This is just a quick means to an end for me. M3 X 20mm M3 X 16mm
