Y-Axis GT2 Belt Tensioner
thingiverse
I modified the X-axis belt tensioner to accommodate M5 screws and spacing on the Y-axis, utilizing the same fundamental principle. To adjust the Y-axis belt, use the thumb knob to tighten it and hold it in place, allowing you to secure zip-ties. This project necessitates an M5x25mm screw that is slightly longer than usual due to the increased length required by the thumb screw. UPDATE: August 12, 2017 I designed a version of the tensioner featuring a 5mm thick base, which enhances alignment with the belt's position. https://youtu.be/RTrlp9YKsxA Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select V2.1 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Notes: To print the thumb knob, orient it upside down and it will not require supports.
