Y axis extender for Ender 3 Pro

I extend the Y axis of my Ender 3 Pro by 30 mm, boosting its print area. This upgrade requires a few key modifications to ensure smooth operation. First, I've installed a Y axis damper and a heat sink on the motor, which helps regulate temperature and vibrations. Next, I need to swap out the original y-axis belt for a longer one. The new belt is a 6 mm width GT2 timing belt, costing around $7 for five meters on Amazon. To make room for the extended belt, I remove the brass stops from the original belt and reattach them to the new one. With the belt in place, I secure it using three 40 mm M5 bolts. One crucial step is replacing the press-fit pulley on the stepper motor with a new one, ensuring precise movement and preventing any potential issues.
