I'm prepping to head over to my workshop to tackle this X-carriage project. It's going to be modified to accommodate Drylin Bearings, and I've found a great design online to work with - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1755550. The carriage needs a 70mm spread on the 8mm bars, so I'm using these custom brackets I remixed to get it just right. Printing them now as an experimental piece. I also made some changes along the way, removing excess holes and cavities for zip ties - let's be real, who likes dealing with those annoying little things? This project is all about trying out new ideas, so I'm excited to see how it turns out!
