The Solidoodle 2's original bracket is somewhat flimsy, with both mine cracked. The lack of stability caused poor accuracy/repeatability in the y-axis. To address this issue, you can replace it with an overkill bracket or the beefier alternative. I have both installed currently. Upon installation, you might need to adjust the y-axis belt tension and use a longer M3x0.5 button head cap screw (10mm for full thread engagement) due to the bracket's thickness compared to the stock piece. I had to make a hardware store trip after rounding off a stock cap screw's hex.
