The Y-Axis Bracket presented here is a modified version of Chuck Murray's "Y-Axis Bracket for Solidoodle 2" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:36446). The original brackets were found to twist excessively on the user's Solidoodle 3, so they imported Chuck's design into Sketchup and added lip features that grip the case edges for stability. However, this modification made the new bracket versions non-ambidextrous. STL files are included for both original and modified versions. For printing, a 50% hexagonal infill with 4 perimeters is recommended. Upon installation, it's crucial to readjust the y-axis belt tension. The user replaced the M3x0.5 button head cap screw with an M3 phillips head screw due to bracket thickness; a 10mm cap screw ensures full thread engagement while an 8mm long one will work as well.
