Y Axis Belt tensioner
thingiverse
This is a Y-Axis Belt tensioner for the Prusa I3 rework. It features four M3x40mm screws, which can be replaced with larger ones to increase travel distance without compromising performance. To achieve perfect tension, I recommend using a holder capable of withstanding significant force, such as the one available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:745934). The following steps will guide you in setting up a good belt tension: 1. First, place the belt within the holder and wrap it around both the motor and bearing (which should be secured with an M8 bolt). 2. Next, insert the four M3 bolts into the nut of the other part and tighten the holder firmly against the bed. 3. Begin to turn the M3 screws in small increments until you observe the desired belt tension. Good luck with this process. If you have any questions or concerns, I look forward to hearing from you in the comments below.
