Y Axis Bearing Holder/Spacer
thingiverse
This derivative openscad file is based on its parent but offers a new design. The creator wanted to maintain the X stage's perpendicularity to Y rods and, thus, crafted a spacer for linear bearings that aligns with three screws holding the X stage together. To use it, print the file in one of the provided sizes (16mm, 16.1mm, or 16.2mm) depending on fit preference; if 16mm is too tight, choose 16.1mm as a starting point. In ReplicatorG, scale the backside file by -1 for accurate printing. You may need to adjust the hole size for the bearing or the spacer's height for proper snap ring fitting. Assemble it with two SW06 bearings and four appropriate snap rings (5/8" recommended). To install, remove the X Stage from the bot, push out stock bushings, insert bearings with snap rings, place printed pieces, secure them with snap rings perpendicular to screw heads, and reattach using slightly longer screws (20mm). Be careful not to lose nuts during this process. The openscad file generates only the front piece; flip it by scaling by -1 in ReplicatorG for the backside version.
