This print was designed for the purpos of having the nozzle home to hang off the print bed. this allows the printer to be at home and allow for filament to be purged without the print surface to block it.

Adjustments to the build volume may be needed but I have not myself.

This was meant for my Creality CR-10 but could be used for any similar printer.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

No

Notes:

Printed with a 0.3mm Nozzle with PETG at 0.16mm Layer Height.

Post-Printing

Print In the orientation the STL comes in.

disassemble endstop switch.

Screw the printed part to the y-rail tslot with the existing screw and tslot.

line up the part with the endstop before tightening the middle screw to ensure the endstop will engage at desired position.

tighten the middle screw.

Place some electrical tape on the backside of the endstop switch to ensure the middle screw and the solder points on the back of the switch do not connect to cause a short.

continue to add more electrical tape to ensure the sharp solder points do not pierce through the tape.

place the endstop switch on the part and screw in the two smaller screws.

reconnect the endstop wire.

How I Designed This

I used tinkercad to model this part.

I started by measuring the dimensions of the original endstop mount.

I then thought about how i needed this to work and then transfered the dimensions over to the new part idea.

Category: 3D Printer Parts
