I designed a simple Y-axis 3030 aluminum extrusion belt tensioner that works perfectly with an M5 x 20 SHCS and nut to secure a pulley measuring 8-9mm wide, and up to an 18mm OD. The design is straightforward - simply pull back on the bracket and bolt it into place once you've achieved your desired belt tension. To keep everything securely in place, use M5 x 12 bolts for the bracket. Check out my Y-axis stepper motor bracket too, available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2855563
