XZ Carriage mod for P3steel V1.0
thingiverse
This is a modification of the extruder carriage supports for use "protein" trapezoidal Tr8 axis 8 (ext) x 4 (int) x 2 (pitch) and bearings for the shaft end Z KFL08. I am also using LM8LUU motors-X and X-idler supports made from P3steel or Prusa i3 with 17 mm between centers. Two LM8UU can be used or one LM8LUU, but it's better to use two. The bearings have been fastened with rivets thermal, which melt in position to fix them. I will test one and two TR8 nuts for clearances to eliminate the few that exist, even if the nuts will wear out over time and need a small filing. I would appreciate comments on these designs as they are constantly being improved. The new version is located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1405962 Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa P3teel No Rafts No Supports Resolution: 0.2 in prototype Infill: 20 for prototype Adjusting the Assembly Drill axis and clean edges. The bearing mount must be adjusted slightly with a rounded sand nut no more than 1mm. This makes perfect 17 mm between axis How I Designed This Designed in Madrid with Solid Edge ST8 Educational My original M5 threaded rods caused problems after several months of using the printer. They were very soft and bent at the first snag the z-axis. I bought some mechanical parts and started to design new parts based on the idea of Josef Prusa's kitprinter3d and Prusa i3 parts. https://github.com/josefprusa/Prusa3
