xyzprinting AIO y axis cable chain
thingiverse
This setup is tailored for the AIO, but xyz's design of the Y-axis harness leaves zero wiggle room, resulting in a nasty bind on the wires that causes them to snap from within their sheath right where the tie-downs are located. If this has already happened, after you've re-spliced and repaired the harness, this fix should keep your repair intact. To achieve proper flex, move the wire harness from the top of the Y motor to the bottom; you'll just have to unplug the connector to the X motor, but be careful with the zero sensor - it's glued into its housing, so you can't simply disconnect the plug. Either cut a square out of the cover to create space for removal or, as I did, slice all three wires and re-splice them once you've relocated the cable down the chain. The chain operates on a 1-in/1-out basis, so no chain locks are necessary and there's no need to remove plug ends.
