Calculation assistant (Google Sheet) The central component of this tool is a Google sheet that assists you in calibrating your 3D printer by calculating XYZE steps, filament diameter, and extrusion multiplier. This concept has been explored in numerous online links (see below), which I have compiled into a spreadsheet. I've included some test objects for calibration purposes. You can print these during the process to assess your printer's performance. The attached Fusion 360 files allow you to adjust the settings according to your specific needs. If you prefer using your own test files or alternative sources, that's perfectly fine as long as they are based on a square or rectangular shape. I've also provided example configurations for the Prusa Slicer, which you can modify or use as a reference point. These configurations might be useful in optimizing your printer's performance. https://drive.google.com/open?id=10TUSKiZeh9AhsUVeayjNrdQLW8d3_T_VbOFakq04qfEFirst Layer Calibration The first layer calibration feature on my Prusa i3 MK3 has some limitations. It only works with PLA and a 0.4mm nozzle, and it only covers a small area of the print bed. I've created an STL file with a grid of 3 x 3 20x20x0.2mm patches to provide better coverage. You can adjust the parameters in the attached Fusion 360 file to create different patch sizes or modify the bed size.
